Dr Gemma Ossolinski

Dr Ossolinski joined our practice in 2014 after spending several years training and working in NSW. Her interests include women’s health, paediatrics, mental health and chronic disease management.
Dr Ossolinski has a Family Planning and Sexual Health certificate. She can advise and assist with a wide range of women’s health issues including:
- Contraception and contraception problems, plus insertion and removal of Implanon devices and Mirena IUD
- Cervical screening (previously called Pap smear testing)
- STI testing
- Managing symptoms of menopause
She is an accredited Possums NDC practitioner and uses this framework to provide new parents with holistic & evidence-based support for common problems in early childhood including:
- breastfeeding problems: nipple & breast pain, mastitis, difficult/fussy feeding, under or over-supply, suspected tongue-tie.
- infant sleep problems: difficulty settling for naps or night sleeps, frequent night waking.
- infant cry-fuss problems: unsettled babies, suspected colic or reflux.
- perinatal mental health support: low mood and/or anxiety, exhaustion, feeling overwhelmed.

Dr Ossolinski has a Diploma of Paediatrics from Sydney Children’s Hospital (UNSW). She is interested in children’s health at all ages and stages of development. Her gentle and caring manner helps to put young patients at ease, and is a mother of two young boys herself.
Mental health problems can affect anyone. Dr Ossolinski has a focus on the management of depression and anxiety. She takes a whole-person approach to mental health problems and treatment, working closely with any other member of the mental health team such as psychologists or psychiatrists.
Dr Ossolinski takes a comprehensive approach to the treatment of chronic health conditions. She believes that patients should be well informed about their conditions and how to manage them. Chronic disease prevention is another focus and Dr Ossolinski has conducted research on weight loss strategies in general practice.
GP care plans and Mental Health care plans are available (long appointment required). Please call reception to book a breastfeeding assessment or Possums NDC consultation as these are reserved separately and cannot be booked online.
Bulk billing is available for children under 16, pensioners and veteran’s affairs patients. Generous discount for Healthcare Card Holders
Dr Ossolinski will be consulting on Mondays and Thursdays.
